Timothy M. McManus, President - National Group

Tim M. McManus is National Group president for Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services. He is responsible for 57 of HCA Healthcare’s hospitals across 11 states. He has been with HCA Healthcare for 15 years, most recently serving as president of the Capital Division based in Richmond, Virginia since 2016. 

Through his career, Tim spent over twenty-five years working in numerous leadership positions in hospitals across the country, including CEO of Chippenham and Johnston Willis Hospitals in Richmond and, prior to that, CEO of HCA Northern Virginia and Reston Hospital Center. He has a strong track record for strategically growing healthcare organizations’ patient volumes, developing robust service-line expansions, improving customer satisfaction, driving quality improvement and engaging in the communities he serves.

Tim is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned his Master's of Health Services in Finance and Management degree from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and his Bachelor's of Science at Tulane University.  Through his career, Tim has served on many nonprofit Boards in the communities he resided which included recently serving as Vice Chairman of Board for the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. He is currently a member of the American Hospital Association on the Health Systems Committee.
